This website uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous visitor data, such as which pages are visited and how users interact with the site. This information helps improve the website’s content and user experience.
Anonymized visitor behavior (e.g., pages viewed, time spent on the site). Browser type and device information. General location (city-level, no precise address).
Personal data like names, emails, or exact locations. Sensitive information.
Your email address is collected only if you choose to subscribe to the newsletter or use the contact form — see the sections below.
You can disable Google Analytics tracking by using a browser extension like Google’s Opt-Out Add-on or adjusting your browser settings.
For more details, see Google’s Privacy Policy
If you subscribe to the newsletter using the signup form in the footer, the email address you provide is collected to send you occasional updates about new posts, talks, and Dhamma resources from this site.
Who processes it. Subscriptions are handled by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), an email delivery service. Your email address is stored there and used only to deliver these emails. It is never sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes. Kit’s handling of personal data is described in their privacy policy.
Double opt-in. After you submit the form, you receive a confirmation email, and your address is added to the list only after you click the confirmation link in that email. This prevents anyone from subscribing an address they do not control. If you never confirm, the pending subscription is automatically discarded and nothing is stored.
Spam protection. The signup form is protected against abuse by a honeypot field. Suspicious submissions may additionally be checked by Kit’s anti-spam systems.
Proof of consent. To comply with data-protection law (such as the GDPR), Kit keeps a record of subscription metadata — for example, the date and time of the subscription — as proof that consent was given.
How to unsubscribe. Every newsletter email contains an “Unsubscribe” link. Clicking it removes your address from the list immediately, no reason required and no follow-up emails. You can also ask me to remove you manually through the contact page.
The contact form (processed by Formspree) forwards the name, email address, and message you provide so that I can reply to you. It is used only for that purpose — addresses submitted through the contact form are not added to the newsletter list.
